What Is The Political Refresh?

Over the years – and especially recently – people are becoming increasingly fed up with politics. And honestly, it’s no surprise.

Politics can seem noisy, complicated and straight-up ugly.

And the Politicians? Well they’re just untrustworthy and insincere, right?

Recent events such as Brexit and the COVID-19 pandemic have divided our country in ways that we have never seen before.

To make matters worse: disinformation, misinformation and conspiracies are spreading like wildfire.

And despite all of this, there is still a hope that things don’t have to be this way:

• Politics should be easy to understand and accessible for everyone.

• Trust and confidence in our politicians needs to be restored.

• Our country can heal its divisions.

• We don’t have to be misled by lies. 

Maybe, all we need is a refresh…

As you might have already guessed, this is where The Political Refresh comes in.

The Political Refresh is about fighting for a country where politics is understood and accessed by everyone. Where trust between us (the people) and the politicians that serve us, is restored. Where people can hold opposing views without being enemies. Where disinformation and conspiracies no longer mislead us.

But, how will we fight for that country?

First: We’ll keep you informed on the most important political news and events. Breaking down the big stories so they’re easy to digest and understand. 

Second: We will promote tolerance, empathy, and encourage healthy debates. People with different views from yours are not your enemy.

Third: We’ll try our best to help tackle disinformation, misinformation and conspiracies. Helping you to spot lies and giving you the tools to deal with them.

Above all else: We promise to always remain unbiased.

On a personal note, I really hate how hostile politics has become. I hate how people feel detached from the system. I’m not happy one bit and I want to try and make a difference. No matter how big or small.
